Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu is comprised of

  • Tachi Seiho (long sword vs long sword)
  • Kodachi Seiho (short sword vs long sword)
  • Nito Seiho (long and short swords vs long sword)
  • Bo (6 foot staff vs long sword)
  • Jutte (iron truncheon)
  • Jujutsu

Niten Ichi Ryu techniques are economical, with no flashy or exaggerated movement and precise targeting. Distancing and timing of attack is exceptionally tight and without wasted motion.

We of the Toronto Niten Kai Inc. currently practice the Tachi Seiho, Kodachi Seiho, and Nito Seiho.
